The 26/36/84-16 series are the result of the modernization of the 26-26 series double decker cars (BAFLD code), built by VEB Waggonbau Goerlitz from R.D.G. The cars are intended for short-distance regional trains, with a large number of passengers, their access being secured by the 4 double doors.
